We run free tours of the pottery factory every weekday at 11.30am - a must-do if you are interested in locally created goods, innovation and engineering, or art and design. In the factory tour you’ll get an overview of the various stages of creating a pot, including how we harvest the clay, right through to throwing, drying, firing and glazing. Get behind the scenes and see first-hand what it takes to produce large-scale pottery from locally sourced clay, as we tell our Morris & James story.

Weekday Factory Tours include a live tour of the factory and a pot throwing demonstration. Weekend Factory Tours include a live tour of the factory, plus an informative video in the collection room. If you’d like to bring a group to the factory tour, please contact us first to make a booking for groups of more than 12 people.
